Somalia
United Somali Roots (USR) is committed to supporting marginalized clans in Somalia, including the Madhiban, Muse Dhariyo, Tumal, and Yibir. We focus on assisting these clans in various regions of Somalia across every major city and their nearby settlements.
Madhiban rural settlements: Sala Galolay (Cayn), Darrasalam (Cayn), Gol-Barwaqo (Bari), Yake Yake (Bari), Kartuush (Bari), Dhextaal (Nugaal), Danwadaag (Mudug), Xero Jaale (Mudug), and Horogle Town (Mudug). Additionally, we work with Muse Dhariyo communities in Baidoa and Mogadishu. The Yibir and Tumal clans live alongside the Madhiban in their rural settlements.
Somaliland (State)
United Somali Roots (USR) is committed to helping the marginalized communities of the Madhiban, Tumal, Muse Dhariyo & Yibir in all 6 regions of Somaliland. This includes rural villages and those settling in major cities like Daami Hargiesa, Jaamalaye Berbera, and Medina Burco. USR also aims to create a new settlement for these communities to thrive in Somaliland.

Tumal Settlements: Xabbalo Tumaalood (Saaxil)
Ethiopia
USR aims to aid the marginalized Madhiban, Tumal, Muse Dhariyo & Yibir clans that settle in Somali region Ethiopia. They primarlily settle in major cities or villages in this region such as Harar, Dire Dawa, Jigjiga, Kebri Bayah, Kebri Dahar, Dhagahbuur, Wardheer, Balanbale, Cabudwaaq & Gode. They also settle among the Haud & Reserve area. The Muse Dhariyo clan have a distinct rural village on the outskirts of Jigjiga named Bariisle.
Djibouti
United Somali Roots (USR) is committed to helping the marginalized communities of the Madhiban, Tumal, Muse Dhariyo & Yibir in Djibouti. Across the Somali dominated districts in Djibouti, the Tumal & Hawle clans have the highest population there out of these marginalized clans.
Kenya
United Somali Roots (USR) is committed to helping the marginalized communities of the Madhiban, Tumal, Muse Dhariyo & Yibir in Kenya. Both the Madhiban & Tumal settle along the Northern Frontier District of Kenya, predominantly in Garissa. All of the marginalized clans collectively live in Nairobi and Mombasa as well.
